Taking space science beyond the club: the 2023 Pan’an visit
On 7 June 2023, Butian Engineering Club joined the IF Business Club and the Hangzhou No.2 High School volunteer team on a paired-exchange visit to Jianshan Central Primary School in Pan’an County, Jinhua. The schools' exchange had begun in 2017.
A day of learning
The high-school students prepared lessons on subjects ranging from geography and Earth science to robotics, logic, dance and sport. IF Business Club and Butian selected introductory books about finance and space science to share with the younger students, alongside other books and notebooks.
Why outreach matters
Engineering is also about explaining what you learn. Activities like this take the club's interest in space beyond competitions and offer younger students a way into scientific questions.
